Sun and Snow in Whistler

We've had an incredible run of weather in Whistler resort so far this season. Early season storm cycles have left us with a base of 228 cm (89 in) left from a total cumulative snow fall of 789 cm (308 in). The alpine bowls are filling in nicely, the groomed runs are meticulous and you can ski to within a snowball's throw of the Sundial Boutique Hotel. I had a fantastic day on both mountains taking advantage of the Peak to Peak gondola which has become a real game changer at this resort.

While riding the Harmony Express on Whistler Mountain I couldn't help but notice sun hitting Seventh Heaven on Blackcomb Mountain. I was skiing by braille in the Harmony Horseshoes and decided Vitamin D was just what the doctor ordered. So, I hopped in the plush Peak to Peak cabin and within 11 minutes was standing in the alpine on Blackcomb Mountain - in the sun!

Now you could always ski down to the bottom of one mountain and hop on the lift to get back up. It only takes a few minutes to get to the bottom and roughly 25 minutes to get back into the alpine but why take 30 minutes out of your day when you can kick back and enjoy a scenic ride on one of the most spectacular lifts in the world?

Just another Monday in paradise!

Make sure you take some time to get up to Whistler and enjoy some of the fantastic Whistler accommodation deals the Sundial Boutique Hotel has on offer.
