Whistler Blackcomb Snow Fall Opening Day

Whistler’s First Snow Fall & Opening Day!!!

The snow hit Whistler Village for the first time this weekend! The mountain air was crisp and cold. The low cloud line kept us wondering just how much snow was on the mountain. You can feel the excitement and energy when the cloud line lifted and you could see the snowy trees and covered ski runs!

All this has locals dreaming of opening day at Whistler Blackcomb scheduled for November 28, 2013! There is nothing like the Whistler vibe on opening day. Imagine fresh falling snow covering the trees and tails as the sun peaks over the crisp white snowcapped mountains. The excitement and energy of people fills Whistler Village as the mountain is about to open for skiing! As you walk toward the lift line for the first time the sounds of the avalanche bombs start echoing throughout the valley. This takes the excitement to the next level. You suddenly realize that you can’t wait to coax your freshly waxed skis or board through the fresh snow.

Then it happens, you’re at the top, and finally your skis or snowboard hit the snow and you’re ready for your first run! It’s an experience everyone should have so gear up and don’t miss Whistler Blackcomb’s opening day November 28, 2013…..or be ready because with the recent snow it could be sooner.
