Rainbow Park
This grassy park with beach on the shores of Alta Lake looks out over
the many peaks across the lake to the east. Great views of Blackcomb
Mtn, Whistler Mtn, Wedge, Cook, Currie, and many others. Some interesting
photographic features as well such as a log wooden bridge over the
River of Golden Dreams, a wooden dock which protrudes out into the
lake, some old heritage buildings, and the rail line. This area is
very busy on warm summer days but there is a separate area away from
any crowds that is reserved for wedding ceremonies. Please contat
the Resort Municipality of Whistler. Can accommodate large weddings
and hold several tents if needed. Lost
Lake Park
Lost
Lake Park is popular among locals and visitors. A short walk from
the village, This grassy park has separate areas for your special
event that can accommodate large weddings also hold several tents.
Great views of Lost Lake are to be had with photo opportunities
on a sandy beach, wooden bridges, and large trees. Great views of
Whistler, Sproat and Rainbow Mountains can held This location is
great for warm summer evenings to celebrate with your friends dancing
as the sun sets and into the evening.
The Den Restaurant at Nicklaus North
Formerly
known as Chez Joel's, the Den Restaurant is suitable for both the
ceremony and indoor reception/dinner. Very popular as views of the
mountains are good, and great restaurant on hand for reception.
Will usually provide golf carts for photographer and wedding party
if desired at time of booking with them. This is a good idea as
it allows photos in various places on and around the course and
adds a bit of excitement too.
The Mountain
Whistler
Blackcomb Mountain offers a unique setting for any wedding. Imagine
your wedding at 6000 feet, on top of Whistler Mountain with views
of the Spearhead Range and Whistler Valley below. Dining/reception
facilities are available in the Roundhouse Lodge. The Mountain is
accessed by the Whistler Village gondola, about
a 20 minute ride from the valley floor. Many photographic angles
are available on the mountain and would make a good location in
the warmer months on clear or semi-clear days. Weather however is
always an issue on top and can be a bit more fickle than in the
valley. Prepare for cooler temperatures by 5 to 10 degrees Celsius
on most days.
Whistler Golf Club
Snowcapped peaks. Majestic fir trees. Invigorating mountain air- this is the setting that inspired Arnold Palmer to choose the Whistler Golf Club as his first Canadian design. The Whistler Golf Club features nine lakes, two winding creeks, lush rolling greens and magnificent views of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. The clubhouse features an expanded 1300 square foot Golf Shop an 50 seat bar and grill with an 80 seat deck overlooking the 18th green providing an ideal setting for wedding.
