GETTING TO WHISTLER VILLAGE
- WHISTLER TRANSPORTATION
Whistler Village is a two hour drive north of
Vancouver, British Columbia. Once leaving the hustle and bustle
of the city, you emerge on Vancouver's mountainous north shore
and the cities of North and West Vancouver. The highway becomes
a single lane, winding road past Horseshoe Bay with amazing vistas
across beautiful Howe Sound. You're now on the scenic
"Sea
to Sky" highway and once past Squamish you climb higher and
higher until you reach the Village of Whistler at 2200 feet above
sea level
Similar to a small European town, Whistler Village
is built with pedestrians in mind. When you're staying at the
The Sundial Boutique Hotel, it's of even less use as you're only
steps away from both gondolas and you're in the heart of the village
with all shopping and dining options all at your doorstep.
The route to Whistler from Vancouver is a mountain
highway and can be treacherous at times. Many terrific transportation
companies offer direct airport to hotel service leaving you the
pleasure of relaxing and enjoying the view without getting stressed.
