The Sundial Boutique Hotel opened in December of 2003 after Demers – a Whistler local of over 25 years – and partners bought the Westbrook Hotel and invested $8.5 million into a complete rebuild and re-brand. The Sundial experience has much to do with the 10 years Demers has invested into the property as General Manager. He treats the hotel as if it were his own home, actively inspecting rooms for quality assurance and continuously interacting with guests.
