The Sundial Boutique Hotel, Whistler’s first and only owner-operated boutique hotel, has opened a new and unique conference facility that is the ideal venue for groups of up to 75 people for executive board meetings, incentive group events, corporate banquets, wedding receptions or rehearsal dinners.
To celebrate the opening of the new facility, the Sundial is offering a promotion for bookings made prior to December 31, 2005. When a reservation is made before the end of the year for a meeting to take place in either 2005 or 2006, the meeting space will be provided complimentary when 10 rooms or more per night are guaranteed. The offer is subject to availability and minimum night stays may apply.
“There aren’t many options for space this size and this bright in Whistler. It’s a unique room that can be configured to suit a wide range of meetings or events,” says David Demers, owner and general manager. “We’re already seeing a great deal of interest from companies booking their holiday celebrations, and others who are booking incentive weekends for their management teams. Located on the second floor of the hotel, the space features 9.5 foot ceilings and two large windows providing great views and an abundance of natural light. With 580 sq. ft. to offer, the room can accommodate a number of different configurations: 24 people in a boardroom set up; 36 in a classroom configuration; 40 for theatre seating; 32 in a hollow square; 30 in a U-shape; 50 in rounds for a banquet; and up to 75 for a reception.
The value that guests realize in their room rates carries over to the conference facility with reasonable pricing at $250 for a full day and $175 for a half day of 4 hours or less. This small boutique hotel offers personalized service tailored to each group based on their guest room and food & beverage requirements. For groups with 10 rooms or more per night guaranteed, the Sundial offers special rates on the conference facility and if 45 of the hotel’s 49 suites are booked, the meeting space is provided at no cost.
