1730 Airport Road
Pemberton, British Columbia
Canada, V0N 2L0
A short 30 minute drive north of Whistler lies the scenic Pemberton
Valley, home of majestic mountain views and the equally majestic
Pemberton Valley Country Club.
Situated at the base of Mt. Currie (8300 ft.) between the Lilloet
and Green rivers this challenging course meanders along the valley
floor. The river is in play on the opening and closing holes. Several
natural ponds are spread throughout the course with water in play
on 8 of the first nine holes. Once you have completed the front
nine be prepared to hit it straight on the back nine as the fairways
are narrower and heavily tree lined. The first hole is regarded
as the toughest starting hole in the sea to sky golf corridor. This
dogleg left has water in play on both sides of the fairway from
the tee, a stand of trees that splits the fairway on the second
shot and water surrounding the elevated green. There are several
strategically placed bunkers in play in addition to the many grass
bunkers on the fairways and around the greens.
Accuracy takes precedence over length on this challenging championship
course. The bentgrass greens are considered to be amongst the finest
in British Columbia. With three tees to play from, this course provides
an enjoyable challenge to all levels of golfers. Come play this
"little piece of heaven next to the sky"
